About her works

After a degree in fine arts and some wanderings, Vanessa Dakinsky asserted herself in a more autodidact work: strange pictorial constructions, centered on the inner perception, extravagance and fantasies. On the run from the radical commonplaces, her work explores floating state, building a world neither real nor false, where cruelty and sweetness are battling for first place. Human or hybrid figures create weird and poetic mystery, and architect this worldview that is both delicate and strong.
