Ron Arad
In unorthodox ways he connects extremely different materials and concepts together. Arad became world-renowned because of his chair sculptures made out of steel, bronze, wood, aluminum and plastic. Arab moves between the disciplines of architecture, art and design like no one else, and many also call him a sculptor. He has created rooms for Porsche, Maserati, and his latest designs were made for Dolce & Gabbana's last show in Milan. He likes to make it clear, that for him, separate types of design and art do not exist. He said recently during an interview on the question of what signifies design for him: "There are only two categories which are important to me, boring or interesting…"
